ECHOES OF THE UNIVERSE
Sound travels in waves. Light travels in waves. And long after the source has gone quiet, the echo continues — moving outward through space, carrying information about something that existed, something that happened, something that sent its signal into the dark and trusted it would reach somewhere.
Echoes of the Universe is built from that idea.
Deep purples and blues form the ground of the composition — the colour of space not as emptiness but as presence, as the medium through which everything travels. Into this, radiant yellows and fiery reds emerge with the particular intensity of things that have been burning for a very long time. Rhomboid forms and circular motifs intersect across the surface in a geometry that feels neither imposed nor accidental — more like a pattern discovered than one designed, the visual equivalent of an equation that was always true before anyone wrote it down.
The surface is where this painting fully reveals itself. Built on A3 woodboard with acrylic, ink and layers of accumulated texture, the depth here is geological — close looking reveals mark beneath mark, decision beneath decision, the record of a process that trusted itself through uncertainty toward something precise.
Vertical in format, it commands space differently to the square works in the collection. It rises. It draws the eye upward, which is exactly the direction an echo travels.
