Single Espresso
ESPRESSO
Some people are a flat white. Easy, smooth, sociable — the kind of energy that fills a room without overwhelming it. Some people are a long black. Consistent, unhurried, exactly what they appear to be from start to finish.
And then there are the espresso people.
Concentrated. Unapologetic. Arriving in a small package that contains more intensity per millilitre than anything else on the menu. The kind of person — and the kind of coffee — that doesn't need volume to make an impact. Everything is already there, compressed into the essential, stripped of everything that isn't absolutely necessary. One shot. One hit. Done.
The moka pot that produces it is an object of Italian design genius — a piece of engineering so elegantly resolved that since its invention in 1933 it has barely needed to change. It sits on millions of stoves across the world every morning, making the same sound, producing the same result, delivering the same promise: the day begins in earnest now.
Espresso is that moka pot as it lives in the imagination of an artist who loves coffee deeply and the objects that make it deeply — reimagined in pink and green and white dots, dressed in the visual language of a studio where ordinary things are treated with the same attention and colour that they deserve. Part of the Italian Coffee Pot series, where each work captures not just a type of coffee but a type of human being.
This one doesn't linger. It arrives, does what it came to do, and leaves you changed.
