"Geometria y Texturas 8" is inspired by the interplay between human-made structures and the organic world. The work draws on the visual language of monuments and ancient symbols, inviting viewers to see it as a portal to contemplation. The textured circular forms, with their radiating lines, echo natural cycles—like tree rings or the rhythmic growth of geological layers—while the structured black square represents human attempts to create permanence and order in a transient world.
Through this piece, I hope viewers will feel a sense of grounding and connection to time’s natural flow. The warm terracotta tones are intended to evoke a feeling of warmth and earthiness, contrasting with the bold black and red shapes that add intensity and focus. This balance of color and texture speaks to the contrasts inherent in life: the earthy and the constructed, the fleeting and the eternal.
The choice of materials—acrylic on a wood panel—was deliberate, as the natural grain of the wood reinforces the organic theme, while the acrylic allows for rich textural contrasts that enhance the sense of depth and tactile engagement. "Geometria y Texturas 8" is designed to be both a visual anchor and a meditative piece, inviting viewers to find their own reflections on permanence, nature, and our human place within it.
