Gravity of Intention
GRAVITY OF INTENTION
Intention is not a thought. It is a force. Like gravity, it doesn't announce itself — it simply pulls everything in a particular direction, quietly and without negotiation, until the landscape around it has rearranged itself accordingly.
Gravity of Intention is what that force looks like mid-operation.
A green orbit and a red diagonal cut through the centre of the composition with the confidence of elements that know exactly where they are going. Around them, arrows direct movement across soft spherical forms — not frantically, but purposefully, as if the system has already decided its destination and is simply moving through the steps. Pathways loop and overlap in a layered, grid-like background that pulses with hidden data, the accumulated evidence of everything that preceded this moment of crystallisation.
The tension here is what gives the work its particular charge. Spontaneity and structure occupy the same surface without cancelling each other out — the play of colour and the precision of form existing in the same breath. Built with acrylic, gesso, ink and glazing on birchwood panel, the layers beneath the surface keep revealing themselves the longer you look, like a system that rewards sustained attention.
Where energy is directed, reality responds. This painting understands that completely.
