Intercessor

Intercessor stands between frequencies.

The central form is hieratic — symmetrical, ceremonial, built from arching planes of copper and rose that read as torso, mask, or altar depending on how long you stand in front of it. Embedded within it, five medallions carry geometric patterns drawn from Islamic decorative tradition: devotional, precise, ancient.

Around it, neon verticals cut through the composition in yellow, red and green. Not decoration. Signal interference. The painting holds both registers simultaneously — the sacred and the electric — without resolving the tension between them.

That unresolved tension is the work. An intercessor doesn't belong entirely to either world. It mediates. It stands in the gap.
