Living Codes II — Apparition is the most architecturally complex painting in the series, and the least willing to hold its shape.Interlocking forms rise and fold through a field of acid green and deep red — striped, patterned, jointed, almost mechanical. At the centre, a single baroque arabesque panel burns in neon orange-red: the one element that fully declares itself, surrounded by everything that won't. Yellow nodes drift through the composition like lights seen through fog. The forms beneath them are present but not insistent, built from transparent layers that let the ground breathe through the figure.The tension in this painting is between ornament and dissolution. The arabesque wants permanence. Everything around it is already leaving.
