Living Codes III — Crossing is the most open painting in the series — and the most direct.

Diagonal bars move through a luminous green and red field, crossing without resolving, each one a different weight and temperature. Blue, green, ochre, burgundy. Above them, circular forms drift in and out of the ground, present the way a memory is present: there if you look, gone if you insist. At the centre of it all, a yellow form carries a floral geometric pattern — sun-like, precise, the one element in the series that feels like it arrived from somewhere specific and ancient.

The crossing is not a collision. Nothing in this series collides. The forms pass through each other the way light passes through water — each one altered, none of them stopped.
