Neon Circuitry
NEON CIRCUITRY
Every circuit begins as an idea about connection. Two points that need to communicate. A path that doesn't yet exist, waiting to be built.
Neon Circuitry was made exactly that way.
Layer by layer in the studio, the composition evolved through gesture and response — each mark informing the next, each colour shifting the logic of what came before. The result is a surface that holds the memory of its own making: fluorescent pinks, rich greens and deep blues moving through geometric forms with the fluid confidence of signals that have found their route. A central circular form anchors the whole composition, intersected by glowing paths and directional blocks that read simultaneously as circuit board and mandala — the technological and the contemplative occupying the same visual space without contradiction.
There is rhythm here that you feel before you analyse. The hum of a charged grid. The particular energy of a system that is not only functional but alive — transmitting movement, logic and intuition through the same channels at once.
Built with acrylic, gesso, ink and glazing on birchwood panel, the work rewards the kind of looking that follows the paths rather than stepping back from them. Get close. Follow a line. See where it takes you.
