UPGRADE

Every system reaches a point where patching is no longer enough. Where the only real move is to rebuild from a deeper level — not faster, not louder, but fundamentally different.

Upgrade is that moment rendered visible.

Repeating geometric forms cascade across a copper-warm field of green, orange, violet and black. A central vertical pulse runs through the entire composition like a signal being rewritten in real time. The surrounding shapes don't resist it — they respond to it, shifting and reconfiguring as if the matrix itself is learning something new. The surface holds layers of acrylic, ink and gesso on birchwood panel, building a texture that rewards close looking.

And then there is the frame.

Found at Portobello Market and restored by hand, this 1970s black lacquered frame with its ornate carved corners brings an unexpected dialogue to the work. Baroque flourishes holding a coded, electric painting. The classical containing the radically contemporary. It is not decoration — it is a statement about how transformation always happens within existing structures.

This piece is sold framed. The frame is part of the work.
