Every transmission begins somewhere. A first signal. A first mark. The moment before a language becomes a series, before a series becomes a body of work, before a body of work reveals what it was always trying to say.
White Geometry 1 is that moment.
No gold. No colour. Just black and white — the most fundamental contrast available to a surface, the visual equivalent of silence and sound. At the centre of the composition, a bold divided circle commands the field — half black, half white, bisected with the precision of a symbol that has appeared independently in civilisations across the entire span of human history. Within the white expanse, a smaller black circle holds its position with quiet certainty. Two forms. One relationship. An equation that has no solution because it was never asking a question — only making a statement about the nature of things.
The surface is where this painting earns its place in a collector's hands. Built with acrylic, gesso and sodium bicarbonate — the same handcrafted textural mixture developed in the studio that gives the most material works in this collection their geological depth — the texture here is tactile and dense. This is not a smooth, graphic work. It breathes. It has weight. Up close, the surface reveals the record of its own making — layer beneath layer, decision beneath decision, the mark of a process that trusted itself toward something it could not fully see until it arrived.
